I used the center section of a large Bottle gourd to create this Anemone swaying in the ocean currents.  This uniquely graceful piece involved the use of leather dyes, resins,  and gloss and satin polyurethane.  The base is embellished with Cambria beach sand and pebbles.  The immature Dungeness crab molt was a rare find, so a similar piece ordered on commission would most likely have another buddy (eg limpet, chitin, Hermit crab, etc).

This piece measures 9" wide and is 6' high.
