In the beginning of time (1964) I graduated as a marine biologist and went to work for Sea World.  It was an amazing experience and is reflected in some of my work.  "Tidepool" or Tide pool if you are enamored with spell check, was created using a canteen gourd and "petticoat" gourd.  The interior is teeming with whimsical sea life and is embellished with beach stones (including 2 Moonstones) from the beaches at San Simeon, Ca.  Pyrography, pen and ink, leather dyes, resins and polyurethane went into bringing this "tidepool" to life.
